Kaithoon (Village of Handlooms Kaithoon, Kota)

Kaithoon is a small village situated around 17 KM from Kota. Kaithoon is renowned for the specialized designer hand woven saris named as Kota Doria saris. These saris are hand woven with real gold threads. The textile weaving rules this place. The majestic dress materials from Kaithoon are of high quality cotton fabrics. These are made exquisite and richer by designer fashions and embroidery with real gold and silver threads. Kaithoon is dominated with Muslim population. The handloom industry in Kaithoon is also by Muslims. A Master Weaver who is having many weavers under him will be the person who will purchase the yarn and dye it and give to the weavers. The weavers will weave according to the instructions of the Master Weaver and give the finished product to the Master Weaver. The Master Weaver in turn makes the payment to the weaver by selling the product to wholesale dealers.

Usually the whole family of the weaver will be involved in the making of handloom product, by contributing themselves from the spinning of yarn to thread and loading in the weave and during the weaving. In Kaithoon mainly pitlooms are used for weaving. A live view of the hand weaving with fast and attractive hand movements will be an amazing experience in Kaithoon.
